Valentines day 2012

14th Feb and all's well

Snow all gone now and the temp is rising so pent the day doing culture in Kings Lynn - it is possible!
Dad's birthday of course though the old bugger isn't at all well. Dodgy hip, radio active zapping treatment and lumping bags round Paris have done him in. Hopefully his next bought of nuking on Thursday will sort him out. What with my old mum and her ailments, it's been hard work running around my parents recently - though one is rather more demanding than the other.
Looks like we'll have another parent to look after soon. Seems Mrs Gillespie has been bounced out of buying the house she was hoping to move into next week in Sheringham though isn't going to give up the sale of her house in Letchworth so, as it wouldn't be right for her to be homeless it appears that we may be taking in a lodger. It must have been a very trying day for Helen as the day started off with the sad news of losing a dear friend, agreeing completion on the sale of her house then finding out her sellers were pulling out.

It was good for me to hear that Billy and Mac are coming up for the rugger in a couple of weeks and Graham has arranged a sneaky visit to mum in early March

Snow

Well we waited long enough for it this winter, but snow has arrived in North Norfolk and our boiler has packed up. Wood burner is on overtime as we strive to stay warm.

Rosie came with me to Carrow Road yesterday to her first full on Premier League match as Norwich beat Bolton 2-0. A good result after the mid week performance at Sunderland.

Granny seems a bit low this week. Not many people around, relying on us to visit as often as we can, but even if we got to St Nicholas every day, I don't think it would be enough for her.

Looks like the freeze is set to last all week so could be interesting out on the lanes for a few days yet.

Here's the editors choice of photo's from the last few days.
