So we must think about going home. No tears, no regrets. Its been beautiful here. Probably the most relaxed holiday I have had since Jenny entered our world (there's food for thought Dukey boy).
We have very much been slaves to the sun. Beach and pool. Its apparently hotter in the UK today than here but hey-ho, I'd have been at work, or sorting out mother, or shopping, or cutting grass etc. Anemos Apts here in Ornos, just 2km's from Mykonos town has looked after us wonderfully. Without fuss, intrusion or any bother, we have felt most welcome. The wind has been constant - a bit of blessed relief from the heat - its a comfy 30° right now.
Food has been excellent where ever we have chosen. We have chosen carefully though as there are some pricey, classy places here. Judging by the fleet of yachts and cruisers we saw on our taxi boat the other day, there's a lot of wealthy visitors about the place.
Mykonos town was a delight to wander around. Lots of the big cruise ships call in here so there's plenty of trinkets to shop for.
Jen and I have really enjoyed our trip. She thoroughly deserved her holiday and still has the whole summer break to look forwards too - though lots of shifts at Beeston may put a dampener on things there.
Tomorrow will seem a very long travelling day but it will be great to be home again.
Look up the world

Mykonos. Time to pack up and go home.

Mykonos. Still here
<p dir="ltr">Poolside, listening to radio Norfolk having had a lovely eggy breakfast. We have relaxed into holiday mode now. Lazy days soaking up the sun seem to be the No1 priority. Mykonos town was lovely. We are heading back there tonight where the kebabs are about £2
Had a lovely meal at a beach front taverna last night. Some of the restaurants are a bit pricey but very swanky with it. Going to spend most of the day keeping up with the cricket.

July. Mykonos calling. Time to catch up on whats been going on in our little world since my last posting
Actually sitting near the departure gates in Luton Airport after having our flight delayed by about 8 hrs. Wouldn't be so bad but Easyjet called us into the airport early as they had an earlier slot. Tried to sleep for a while but there's bodies everywhere.
So May. What the heck did we do in may? I remember a nice little trundle down to Itteringham May Fayre. Jenny went full on with her exams. The weather tried to perk up but from memory we still had to fight off a persistent cool Easterly wind. My work was manic as usual. I've been asked to cut down the hours I do (no laughing in the back row). Footy season ended well for the Canaries finishing in mid table obscurity. There's been quite a cull of some of the fringe players and some much needed new blood stock come in to freshen up the squad. Sad to see Grant Holt go. He's been a talisman for NCFC since the dark days of League1.
Monday Night Old Boys Football up at the village school seems to have been a hit with a regular good turn out. I really enjoy putting myself through my paces though I am happy to admit to being utterly rubbish at footy nowadays.
Rosie has got herself a conundrum with what to do on Wednesdays now. She has discovered a passion for netball, trampolining and now has an option to go to a surf life saving club in Cromer - all clubs run at the same time. I think she will be bouncing for a while longer.
DG started to get itchy feet with her career and applied for a job at a local special needs school and though she didn't get the job, it opened her eyes to apply for other posts. In June she successfully applied for a job at a large junior school a little way from home so will start September away from GVS after 9 years. Rosie will spend her last year in junior school on her own two feet. I reckon it will be good for her as she prepares for high school.
Jenny finished high school in June after working her little socks off to make sure she gets the best possible grades. We'all find out how she got on in August, before she starts 6th form college in September. She wasn't done with Sheringam High School till the summer prom was over. She worked really hard on organising it and while it was a success, she was really upset when everyone buggered off to another party after a couple of hours.
We had a great family day out at Newmarket races on one of their music nights. Lawson were OK but The Saturdays were awful.
The weather has at last got its act together and (if I ever get there) Norfolk will be hotter than the Med! Lots to do coming up over the summer and lots of ways enjoying the long warm days. I have done a lot of cycling, a few Parkruns and even played golf with Jimmy at the weekend for the 1st time in a year or more. DG has been running most days and is now as thin as a stick.
It was great to have my brothers and their families up for an enjoyable feast with dad recently too.
Sleep depravity suggests I should stop writing for now. Thanks for reading

March 2nd 2013
Okay so I should try another audio type blog so we are now in march who has been pretty girl phone code for a long while could do with some warm sunshine the garden is looking a mess with so much wood having been cut down I will try and burn a whole lot later today while listening to norwich beat manchester united today at least we have more daylight now long dark night of january and february will soon be just memories are highlight of the last month was our trip to london staying at county hall and having an excellent room looking out over the london eye there's plenty of pictures of our adventure on flickr go and have a look
An update on how old mum is getting on- in truth she has been very demanding as usual of my time we are trying to come to a compromise but even if I saw mum everyday I don't think it would be enough she is kind of okay good days and bad but when we think how tall is she was in november it's fair to say she is going pretty good she has been to our house for are you sunday lunch and I have taken her shopping around sheringham which includes was a nightmare getting in and out of shops and being told to go hither and thither I know that mum is looking forward to be going out in the sun shine more often so hopefully by the end of march we can spend more time just gazing out to sea which is the main reason for her living up here now in the first place
As for my father well he seems okay we had a great couple of days last weekend including a fantastic meal at morston hall and a trip to the fat cat pub in norwich then watched england win the rugby graham and billy kane 2 so they could also see mum in sheringham which I know she droid
Some weird going on in the football world with bluetooth conquering the mighty canaries and then losing every other day uk and dumping their manager as for norwich they have stated the form in the premier league and now look very safe for next season
A quick round robin of what might not have been up to jessie is in the throes of school report writing meaning we have to be out of her way a lot just now which to me means go to the pub jenny has got herself a new job starting in late march ok for a bit more money and sensible hours she has in droid working at the roman camp but it was time for a change rosie has been my buddy as we keep out of mummies why go and visit granny regularly we are all fighting off a persistent cold but should check that off with another park run this morning I have been very busy at work looking after a new survey a chance meaning lots of long trips and meetings and training courses anywhere from here to southampton
Now I'm sure a lot of what I have just said makes very little sense but thanks for reading and let's hope for a warm sunny spring on the ball city up afters and goodbye
